Optional Excursion: Geothermal Jewels of the North The Field trip to the north of Iceland "Geothermal Jewels of the North" on Thursday, 5 July, (7:30-22:00) is optional and at participant expense. You will fly to Akureyri and by bus visit the Kalina Power Station at Husavik, Krafla high geothermal area with recent volcanism (1975-84). Experience the nature of Lake Myvatn, it´s varied bird life and geology. Total price: 24.000 ISK (approx. 270 €). Included: Flight , airport tax, transportation and guide from ISOR on tour from Akureyri, lunch at Lake Mývatn. Please fill out the form: Geothermal Jewels of the North before 1 June.
